Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser - Breast Cancer Research Foundation

Performance Diesel Inc. continues to raise support for breast cancer awareness through a fundraiser drawing for a rebuilt 2001 Peterbilt 379. The completed truck is anticipated to be worth $80,000.

This fundraiser will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF). The BCRF was founded in 1993 as an independent, not-for-profit organization. The mission of the BCRF is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increase public awareness about good breast health. BCRF-funded research has helped save lives and significantly improved the quality of care and survivorship for tens of thousands of breast cancer patients in the past decade and a half.

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death due to cancer. The American Cancer Society's most recent estimates for breast cancer in the United States for 2012 show that the chance of a woman having invasive breast cancer some time during her life is a little less than 1 in 8.
