Barb Kruse, BSN, OCN, is the Multidisciplinary Clinic Nurse Navigator at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Her job is to coordinate the multidisciplinary cancer teams that work together to create an individual treatment plan for each patient at the center. The teams of specialists that include physicians, nurses, social worker, dietician, chaplain and more work in concert to develop a plan tailored to the unique physical, mental, psychological and family needs for optimal health. Barb works with newly diagnosed cancer patients, too. Patients like Kim Adams, 38, diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April 2012.
